RollofHonor.org is committed to respecting the privacy of our users. We strive to provide a safe, secure user experience. RollofHonor.org is a property of the Roll of Honor Foundation, dedicated to serving the military and veteran communities. This Privacy Statement sets forth the online data collection and usage policies and practices that apply to the RollofHonor.org web site and does not apply to information we collect in any other fashion.

Your data will be stored and processed in the United States. The RollofHonor.org web site may contain links to other web sites over which we have no control. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of other web sites to which you choose to link from our site. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those other web sites so you can understand how they collect, use, and share your information.

Collection and Use of Information by RollofHonor.org

In some areas of the RollofHonor.org web site we may request that you provide personal information, including your name, address, e-mail address, and any other information from which your identity is discernible. In other areas, we collect or may collect demographic information that is not unique to you such as your ZIP code, age, preferences, gender, interests, and favorites. Sometimes we collect or may collect a combination of the two types of information. Examples of areas on the RollofHonor.org web site where we collect personal or combined personal and demographic data are pages where you can open a RollofHonor.org account, and create or edit a military profile.

We may sometimes afford you the opportunity to provide descriptive, preferential and/or other information about yourself, but it is solely up to you whether you furnish such information. If you do provide such information, you are thereby consenting to the use of that information in accordance with the policies and practices described in this Privacy Statement. For example, such information may be used for the purpose of determining your potential interest in receiving e-mail or other communications about particular updates or new features of the service.

Our Use of Your Information

We use the information we gather on the RollofHonor.org web site, whether personal, demographic, collective, or technical, to operate and improve the web site, foster a positive user experience, and deliver the services that we offer.

In addition, in the event we become the subject of a bankruptcy proceeding, whether voluntary or involuntary, we or our trustee in bankruptcy may sell, license or otherwise dispose of such information in a transaction approved by the bankruptcy court. You will be notified of sale of all or a substantial portion of our business to a third party via email or through a prominent notice posted on the RollofHonor.org web site.

Personal Profiles

RollofHonor.org is provided as a tool for generating and displaying your military profile for public viewing.

Other Uses of Information

We also share aggregated anonymous information about visitors to RollofHonor.org (for example, the number of visitors) with its clients, partners and other third parties so that they can understand the kinds of visitors to RollofHonor.org and how those visitors use the web site.

Use of Cookies

Access to and Modification of Your Information

You may review, correct, update or change your RollofHonor.org account or profile information at any time. To change your RollofHonor.org account or profile information, simply log into your account, go to your Account profile, review your account information and, if you wish, edit it with the options provided. We retain indefinitely all the information we gather about you to make your repeat use of RollofHonor.org more efficient, practical, and relevant. Of course, you can close your RollofHonor.org account at any time, in which event we will remove all our copies of your RollofHonor.org account information, except for an archival copy which is not accessible to you via the Internet.

Security of the Personal Information

We have implemented commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes.

Children

RollofHonor.org is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we decide to materially change our Privacy Statement for RollofHonor.org we will post those changes through a prominent notice on the web site so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and to whom we will disclose it.
